Tradition Smadition
by Archer Darke
“Rissa! Psst! Rissa!”
If Clarissa ‘Rissa’ Montgomery weren’t lying in her bed, wide awake, too excited to sleep, she might have missed the incessant whispering outside her bedroom window. As it was, she could hear Danny Williams calling her name as clear as day and with a grin, she threw off her covers and slid out of bed.
Looking down into her parents’ garden, she smiled to see Danny grinning mischievously up at her.
“Let down your hair!” Danny hissed with a laugh. The night was warm, as warm as a summer night could get in Britain, accounting for the light tee and cargo shorts that Danny had opted to wear this night.
“You know you shouldn’t be here, Danny.” Rissa admonished, but there was no real upset in her tone.
“Oh I know, but since when have I ever stuck to the rules?” Danny retorted. With that declaration, she began to climb the side of the house, using the ivy covered trellis that had been there for years and years to gain hand and footholds along the way. Before long she was tumbling into Rissa’s bedroom, giggling as she rolled over onto her back with Rissa standing over her. It was hard to believe she was an adult of twenty-six when she did things like this.
“My parents are not going to be happy about this if they find out.” Rissa stated with a playful glare. She left Danny to return to her bed where she lay down on her side and admired her visitor with half lidded eyes. With short dark hair, strong shoulders and narrow hips, Danny was handsome to a fault. The only person in the world who didn’t realise that was Danny herself.
“Your parents have never liked me anyway. The way your Mum insists on calling me Daniela really drives that point home.” Danny chuckled as she stood and patted herself down.
“They like you, they just don’t like your total disregard for tradition.” Rissa smirked.
“Tradition smadition.” Danny quipped, relieving herself of her shoes and finally joining Rissa on the bed. “I wanted to see you tonight.” She kissed Rissa softly, one big but soft hand on Rissa’s cheek and the other sliding beneath her pyjama tee to settle on her waist. Already Rissa was pushing her fingers through Danny’s hair, a favourite habit of hers that she indulged in whenever possible. “Besides,” Danny whispered when they finally broke the kiss, “it’s not bad luck unless I see you in the dress.”
“You can find the loophole in anything and you’re not even a solicitor.” Rissa laughed, but quickly hushed herself up before her parents heard. Even though she had her own home which she had shared with Danny for the last four years, her parents had insisted upon her staying here the night before their long awaited wedding. Heavily into tradition, they didn’t want Danny to see her until she walked down the aisle. As had always been the case, however, they could not keep Danny away.
“If I was a solicitor who would fix your old and mouldy car, hmm?” Danny chuckled, trailing kisses along Rissa’s jaw.
“I’m sure some other gorgeous lesbian mechanic would be willing.” Rissa joked, and earned herself a nip which caused her to squeak in surprise.
“That’ll teach you.” Danny grinned against her cheek. Rissa pulled on her hair until Danny raised herself and looked down at her soon-to-be wife.
“I love you, you know.” Rissa whispered, thoroughly enjoying the way Danny’s pupils dilated, the blue irises almost disappearing into the widening black holes. At first Danny didn’t reply. Instead she manoeuvred herself until she was straddling Rissa’s thighs and pulled Rissa up by her hands until they were breast to breast. As if that contact wasn’t enough, she pulled at the hem of Rissa’s top until it was off, revealing the pale naked skin beneath. In a moment Danny had removed her own t-shirt and the tight sports-top that kept her breasts flat and was once again pulling Rissa against her, brushing her lips over her fiancé’s neck.
“Clarissa Jules Montgomery,” she whispered, her hands roaming the smooth skin of Rissa’s back, keeping her in place. “The day I first saw you was in high school at the tender age of sixteen,” she paused to kiss Rissa’s neck, her breath hot on the sensitive skin. “You were new and shy and didn’t talk much.” Her kisses travelled around so that Rissa had to tip her head back to allow Danny access. Her fingers were firmly entangled in Danny’s hair, making the un-styled locks even more dishevelled and messy.
“But you looked at me, you smiled, and my heart stopped.” Rissa grinned at that. Danny could be so corny sometimes, it was an intrinsic part of her personality and Rissa loved it. “Mousy brown hair, green eyes and the most beautiful crooked smile. You were and are gorgeous.”
“Danny…” She breathed, but Danny shushed her, her lips against Rissa’s collarbone.
“Shh, let me finish. I was just a dumb kid from the darker parts of the city, but when you spoke to me, gave me your attention, I felt like I was on top of the world.” Releasing her hold, Danny gently pushed Rissa down until her head hit her pillow. She quickly divested them both of the rest of their clothes and sighed as she lay back down, her body covering Rissa’s, thigh to thigh and breast to breast.
“The more time we spent together, the more I realised I didn’t want to spend any time apart from you. When you weren’t by my side, I felt like half of me was missing.” She kissed Rissa longingly, as if she was remembering all the times they had to be apart and was just now refuelling her body with Rissa’s very essence. One hand stroked over Rissa’s hip and side, the heel grazing the swell of her fiancé’s breast with every pass. Rissa sighed into her mouth. The way Danny kissed her made her whole body feel alive. It always had. When Danny pulled away to speak again, Rissa followed her and pressed their mouths back together, unwilling to let the kiss stop. She could feel Danny smiling against her lips at her subtle display of dominance.
They were both running out of breath before long and Rissa conceded defeat, reluctantly letting Danny pull away but feeling somewhat satisfied now. Both were panting slightly, trying to catch their breath. Danny was the first to recover and resumed speaking.
“When finally we shared that first kiss, I knew you were the one.” Rissa blushed profusely at the remembrance of that day. She was inexperienced and hadn’t known the first thing about kissing. She’d stumbled along blindly, unsure of what she was supposed to be doing and wondering if she was doing anything right at all. It had felt strange and yet wonderful at the same time, scary and yet completely exhilarating. Danny, who was a little more experienced than she, had been perfectly content to let Rissa set the pace and had simply let her do whatever felt right with only minimal guidance. There had been much blushing from Rissa when they stopped, but Danny had only smiled and asked for more.
Danny interrupted her trip down memory lane when she suddenly captured a nipple in her mouth. Rissa had to stifle the gasp as teeth grazed the hard bud and a tongue dragged itself roughly against the tip. Her back arched off the mattress as pleasure shot through her body, aiming straight for the now pulsing flesh between her legs. Danny’s stomach was flush against her sex and the friction was delicious, but it wasn’t enough.
“Danny, I need…” Rissa rasped.
“I know, Rissa, I know.” Danny whispered around her nipple. Then she was moving away, lifting her body off Rissa’s and making her way to the head of the bed where she turned and sat with her back against the wall.
Rissa sat up in confusion. “What are you doing?”
Chuckling, Danny beckoned her over. “Come, sit here.” she said, gesturing to the space between her open legs. Rissa did so, turning and settling her body against Danny’s. The build up of pleasure inside her was simmering. She needed more contact and Danny knew it.
She wondered how much longer Danny was going to tease her, but all thought fled when Danny’s hand slid over her stomach and into the heat below. Her other hand was toying with the nipple she had neglected earlier, making it difficult for Rissa to choose a point of pleasure to focus on. As Danny’s fingers moved against her, though, the decision became easy.
“Rissa, I feel like I’ve loved you forever.” Danny’s mouth was on her ear but she was barely taking the words in because her sex was swelling in response to the fingers circling and sliding over her clit. “You make me complete.” Rissa gripped Danny’s thighs, holding on tight as Danny ratcheted her pleasure up and up. “And I don’t know what I would do without you.”
Rissa’s body was undulating against Danny’s hand, a light sheen of sweat coating her skin and making her body almost glow in the half-light cast by the street-lights outside. Pleasure radiated outwards from her core, making her body vibrate with the need for release. Danny continued her slow torturous strokes, winding and winding the tight coil that was Rissa’s body until, at the most crucial moment, she stopped, her fingers pressed tight to the nerves that were now twice their usual size and slick with her arousal. Rissa groaned as if she was in pain.
“Shh, shh,” Danny chuckled against her ear, “I want to finish before you wake everybody in the house.” Something akin to a whimper came from Rissa’s throat so Danny hurried on. “If you say the words I do tomorrow, I promise to love you, cherish you and make every day happier than the day before until I am no longer able.” Leaning forward and turning Rissa’s head to the side, Danny delivered her final blow. “I love you too, you know.” And then she captured Rissa’s lips as her fingers began moving quickly again, not gently tipping, but throwing Rissa over the edge into paradise.
Danny swallowed Rissa’s moans as the orgasm overtook her, keeping her quiet even as her body felt as if it were being pulled in all directions. She could feel pleasure from her toes all the way to the roots of her hair, so powerful was her climax. When the feelings began to ebb away, Danny slowed the kiss to a stop.
Rissa had become jelly. Her body was numb and the thought of ever moving again was ridiculous. How could she when her legs and arms felt like lead, weighing her down into the bed? Into Danny’s arms which were now clasped around her waist, holding her tight. The thighs on either side of her sported claw marks where Rissa hadn’t been able to stop herself digging her nails into the skin.
“So,” Danny grinned, brushing her nose against Rissa’s cheek, “What did you think of my vows?”It was still dark out when Danny awoke, though the clock on the wall told her it was almost five in the morning. She would have to leave soon. Rissa was curled up against her body, happily slumbering the night away. Danny smiled softly, so immeasurably happy to have this woman in her life.
She kissed Rissa’s shoulder repeatedly until she began to stir. “Rissa, I have to get going.” Rissa mumbled something unintelligible, she never was very articulate when she was half asleep. Danny chuckled. “Rissa, wake up..” She moved her mouth to Rissa’s earlobe, tugging on the skin with her lips and licking the curve with her tongue. Rissa’s hand on her cheek confirmed she’d been successful this time around.
“You know that makes me crazy.” She murmured as Danny moved her assault to her neck.
“Mmm, I know. But I really have to go before your parents give you an early wake up call.”
“Five more minutes…” Rissa groaned as Danny’s fingertips ghosted over her stomach.
“Nuh uh.” With one final kiss to Rissa’s shoulder, Danny pushed herself up and began searching for her discarded clothes. Rissa watched her dress with a tired but happy expression on her face.
“I love you, Danny.” She whispered. Danny smiled and returned to the bed to steal one last kiss which lasted much longer once Rissa had weaved her fingers into Danny’s hair.
“I love you too, Rissa, till death do us part.” She grinned before tip-toeing over to the window. “See you later, yeah? I’ll be the one standing at the altar, wearing the beach shorts.” Rissa threw a pillow her way but she was out of the window before it made contact, her quiet laughter carrying back to Rissa on the breeze.
